The course is aimed at providing a specialized preparation in Astroparticle Physics, with learning and in-depth study of the theories underlying the studied phenomena and the most up-to-date experimental activities in the field The educational objectives include advanced knowledge of quantum physics, mathematical methods of physics, experimental methods and some astrophysics topics.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
Students must have an in-depth understanding of the most important theories of modern physics and related experimental topics. The verification of knowledge and understanding is done through oral interviews and / or written tests.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
Students must be able to connect the topics covered with their knowledge of modern physics, and to be able to describe the current phenomenology with theoretical models, making the necessary approximations.
Students will have to reach an ability to evaluate the theoretical and experimental topics of the Physics field in object, through the use of bibliographic research, in particular on the web.
Students must achieve the ability to present the topics of the course in a scientifically correct way, understandable to an audience of both specialists and not.
Students will have to gain autonomy in dealing with the topics of the course and will be stimulated to the curiosity needed for the continuation of studies in Phd courses or other specialization schools.
