Constrained Optimization and Exponential Random Graphs. Percolation Models, Epidemic and Contact processes. Coarse graining and Hierarchical partition algorithms. Random walks and Markov chains. Stochastic differential equations. Monte Carlo simulations. Simulating annealing. Genetic algorithms.

 

Objectives

Knowledge of the most general techniques in modelling and simulation of complex systems.
