The results of the funding call under Fondo Italiano per la Scienza FIS 2 were announced on 6/11/2024. Dr. Michele Buzzicotti, Researcher in the Department of Physics has been awarded a grant of 1.3 million euros in the Call FIS 2 Starting Grant for the project titled "Data-driven and Equation-based Tools for Deep Understanding of Multi-scale Complex Turbulent Flows". This 3-years research program aims to develop innovative, physics-based, data-driven methods to extract quantitative and interpretable information from complex turbulent flows. The project will address critical challenges in fluid dynamics, including reconstructing sparse and heterogeneous observations in experimental and geophysical data.
The FIS 2 Programme.

To Michele the congratulations from the Department.
