The article "Topological Engineering of Chiral Anomalies in Janus Nanoribbons" has been recently published in the ACS journal Nano Letters.

It reveals a deep connection between Kekule structures and radicals in organic chemistry and topological band theory in condensed matter physics. This study proposes new ways of designing topological materials for dissipation-free electric charge transport.

The work was started by Dr. Vasil Saroka at the University of Rome Tor Vergata during a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship at the Department of Physics and finalized during his postdoc.
