At the moment, thanks to a funding grant of Lazio Innova (Regione Lazio), "LifePlastSens" project n. A0375-2020-36566 (https://weblifeplastsens.wixsite.com/lazioricerca/chi-sono-1), I lead a research group of two post-docs and one post-lauream fellow funded through the project. The research activity of the group is focused on the growth by chemical vapor deposition of graphene on semiconductive substrates and characterization of low-dimensional materials by scanning tunneling microcopy, non-contact AFM at low temperature and x-ray spectroscopy using lab and synchrotron radiation sources. I have active scientific collaborations with national partners such as the Center for Nanotechnology Innovation @NEST IIT di Pisa and the Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnology CNR and with international partners, e.g. Technical University of Denmark, Cambridge University, EPFL Lausanne, ETHZ Zurich.
I am also Unit coordinator of the National project PRIN-2022-PNRR SPIn-based logic GAtes with topological insulators (SPIGA) funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
- Since 2013 I participated to about 30 beamtime experiments, 9 of them as main proposer, at ESRF (Grenoble, France), Alba (Barcelona, Spain), Diamond (Didcot, UK), SLS-PSI (Villigen, Switzerland), Elettra (Trieste, Italy), Soleil (Paris, France), BessyII (Berlin, Germany).
- Since 2014 I delivered an invited talk to 15 international conferences.
- 2022 Member of the scientific Committee, “Semiconductors and Optoelectronics World Forum”, June 13- 15, 2022, Roma, Italy
- 2022 Member of the scientific Committee, “International Conference on Advanced Optics & Photonics Research in Engineering”, December 16- 17, 2022, Beijing, China
