Dr Alice Leoncini, postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Physics of the University of Roma Tor Vergata has been awarded the Prize "Ettore Pancini" for Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics from the Italian Physical Society (SIF).

For the contributions to experimental nuclear physics in the development and characterisation of scintillating crystals highly radio pure, with which new results have been obtained on the double beta decay in 106Cd and 94,96Zr.

The prize of 5000 euros is reserved to young researchers that have obtained a significant research results in the field of experimental nuclear and subnuclear physics.

The award ceremony will be held on 22 September 2025, during the 111th Congress of the SIF in Palermo.
