🔹Title: Ettore Majorana's contributions to 20th century science (and beyond)

🔹Speaker: Salvatore Esposito  ("Federico II" University of Naples)

🔹Abstract: The name of Ettore Majorana appears today in various branches of science, not limited to physics. All these contributions come from only ten articles published in about a decade, starting from the end of the 1920s, but in recent years a careful study has brought to light unpublished contributions by the Sicilian physicist, which reveal an even more profound genius than that detectable only in published works. In this speech, he will take stock of the situation on this fascinating case in the history of contemporary physics, analyzing, in particular, the scientific aspects of the complex personality of one of the most authoritative exponents of Enrico Fermi's Roman group.
