The first Bilateral Workshop of the ERC projects Smart-TURB and MUR-FARE Smart-HEART, organized by the Physics Department of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata," took place from February 27 to March 2, 2023, at the Poggio di Casanova residence (Farnetta, Umbria).
The idea of the workshop was to have 3 days of informal presentations and discussions on the topics of interest of the two projects Smart-Turb and Smart-Heart.
Among the main topics covered were Data Assimilation problems for geophysical and bio-medical flows, Lagrangian dynamics control problems of single and multi-agent systems, and problems related to applications to micro/nano fluidics.
The outcome was very positive, with new lines of research outlined on which to continue jointly.
