Congratulations to Dr. Capocci, who has been awarded the "Raffaele Tripiccione" prize by the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) for "the relevance and originality of the results achieved" in his doctoral thesis entitled "Governing physical mechanisms in (magneto)hydrodynamic turbulence". The thesis was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Luca Biferale at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and within the framework of the ERC project Smart-TURB.

The thesis work focuses on identifying and characterizing the fundamental physical processes that govern magnetohydrodynamic turbulence and its purely hydrodynamic counterpart, using high-performance analytical and computational methods.

Dr. Capocci is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Edinburgh, under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Morozov.
