The University of Rome Tor Vergata crosses the finish line in 68th place in the race "THE Young University Rankings 2021", where various young universities from all over the world, therefore with less than 50 years of activity, "challenge" each other like athletes in their prime.
The "THE Young University Rankings 2021", edited by the Times Higher Education (THE), is based on 13 performance indicators, the same as the "THE World University Rankings", such as education, research (through the number and the relevance of publications and the relative number of citations), technology transfer, international openness, including the reputation of the university in the running, evaluated by academics from all over the world.
To compile this ranking, THE evaluated 1527 universities from 93 countries, compared to 1993 that submitted the required data but did not reach the minimum required threshold.
In the subgroup obtained by selecting only the Italian universities, the University of Rome Tor Vergata earns third place, first the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna while in second place the Vita e Salute San Raffaele University of Milan.
Orazio Schillaci, rector of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata expresses himself by saying
"The University of" Tor Vergata ", which in the previous two years was in the 101-150 range of the ranking, climbing numerous positions this year has returned to position itself among the top 100 best universities in the world. I am very happy with this result because the value of all the people who work at “Tor Vergata” is recognized ”.
As Cartesio said "Two things contribute to advance: to go faster than others or to go the right way", and in fact first of all we prefer the right way.
