Dr Mattia Atzori Corona, a research fellow at the INFN Roma Tor Vergata Division, has been awarded the “Antonio Stanghellini” Scholarship for Theoretical Physics by the Italian Physical Society (SIF).
The award was presented on 7 September 2026 during the opening ceremony of the 112th National Congress of the Italian Physical Society, held in Florence, with the following citation:
“For his contributions to the study of neutrino properties, with particular reference to determining a limit on its mean-square charge radius through the analysis of neutrino–electron elastic scattering and coherent neutrino–nucleus scattering processes.”
The scholarship, worth €1,500, is intended for early-career researchers who have distinguished themselves through the quality of their scientific work in the field of theoretical physics.
