Mattia Atzori Corona, a research fellow at the INFN Rome Tor Vergata Section, is among the recipients of the 2025 Bruno Rossi Award, an annual prize presented by the National Scientific Committee II (CSN2) of the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) to the authors of the best PhD theses in the field of astroparticle physics.
The award was presented on 20 July 2026 during the CSN2 Meeting in Vico Equense for his PhD thesis, titled Phenomenology of Neutrino Interactions for Coherent Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering and Dark Matter Experiments, which focuses on the study of neutrino interactions and their applications to searches for new physics and dark matter detection experiments.
Named after one of the pioneers of modern astroparticle physics, the Bruno Rossi Award is one of the most prestigious INFN recognitions for early-career researchers.
Mattia Atzori Corona is currently conducting research within the NUCLEUS and GAIAS experiments at the INFN Rome Tor Vergata Section.
