In the first part of the seminar, I will present a newly published book by Springer Nature, which, through a collection of notes and essays, explores the evolution of scientific thought while highlighting the role played by Greek civilization.
In the second part, based on a chapter from this book, we will trace the development of the concept of the wave, which, starting from the venerable ideas of Pythagoras, eventually plays a key role in the modern discovery and understanding of antimatter.
