Starting from the next academic year, the didactic offer from the Department of Physics will be enriched with a new, prestigious International Master: MASS (Master in Astrophysics and Space Science) an Erasmus+ Joint Master Program.
Under the PI-ship of Prof. N.Vittorio from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, the Universities of Belgrade, Bremen, and Nice-Cote d'Azur have teamed up to offer a cross-sectoral and research-oriented Master's degree, covering cutting-edge knowledge and research in six main pillars: Gravitation and Cosmology, Stellar Astrophysics, Exoplanets, Astrophysical Techniques, Astrostatistics and Big Data, and Space Science.
The project was funded for the next 6 years by the EU under the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters.
Many associated partners, including public research institutes, national space agencies, medium and large enterprises and space industries complete the educational offer, to equip students with the knowledge and skills suitable to continue their careers in PhD programs, but also desirable for the private sector.
