Claudio Gasbarra

PhD student in Astroparticle Physics

I am a PhD student in Physics, working on Multi-Messenger Astrophysics. My work is carried out under the Virgo Collaboration, the Fermi-LAT Collaboration and the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) Consortium, with the aim to study coincident events of gravitational waves (GWs) and VHE gamma rays.

The main focus of my work is the study of the TeV component in the emission of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) associated to compact binary mergers (BNS or NSBH) and their joint detection with GWs, with special attention to the development of innovative techniques of data analysis and parameter estimation and especially in preparation to the entry into operation of Einstein Telescope, the European third-generation GW interferometer.
