It is hereby announced that applications are open for the "Master in Scienza e Tecnologia Spaziale", offered by the Department of Mathematics in collaboration with the Department of Physics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
The second-level Master’s program in Space Science and Technology, first launched in 2010, is specifically designed to equip participants with the essential skills required to pursue a professional career in the field of space exploration, both in industrial and academic research settings.
The program covers the full spectrum of space exploration, ranging from celestial bodies within our Solar System to large-scale cosmic structures. It provides students with the methodologies and tools needed to study a wide variety of objects, including the Sun, planets, minor bodies of the Solar System, stars, and galaxies, up to cosmological phenomena.
A key component of the Master’s program is the development of the skills required for space mission analysis and planning, as well as for processing data collected by artificial satellites.
Classes will be held mainly in person (with only a few modules offered in hybrid mode), from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., starting approximately in the third week of November and continuing until mid-April. Teaching materials will be provided by the program.
At the end of the coursework, all students will begin an internship (starting in July or September, lasting between 3 and 6 months, possibly extendable up to 12 months according to current regulations) at aerospace companies or academic institutions (such as universities, INAF institutes, or ASI).
Detailed course programs and additional information are available on the Master’s official webpage.
